The Archaeological Collection of Lidoriki was officially founded in 1994 with the aim of presenting finds from the excavations of ancient Kallipolis, which is now submerged beneath the waters of Lake Mornos. The collection was housed in the former primary school building, constructed in 1912 through a donation by Andreas Syngros and later assigned to the Ministry of Culture to be restored and adapted for the display of the archaeological material. The initial exhibition included objects dating from the Geometric to the Early Christian periods; however, due to limited exhibition space, part of the collection was temporarily removed for conservation at the Delphi Archaeological Museum, with a view to its re-display in accordance with contemporary museum standards.

The Museological and Museographical Study reactivates the historic school building and seeks to present a comprehensive picture of the ancient city of Kallion and the wider region, focusing on aspects of public and private life and offering an integrated visitor experience.
