The Museum of Modern Greek Culture, one of the oldest museums in the country (est. 1918), occupies an entire urban block in Plaka, where remains from different historical periods coexist, ranging from the late Roman wall to buildings of the 19th and 20th centuries. The new permanent exhibition, inaugurated in 2024, approaches modern Greek culture through both tangible and intangible heritage, making use of approximately 30,000 objects, as well as interactive digital applications, multimedia, and interpretive material, aiming to highlight everyday life, social perceptions, and the identity of the recent past.
The work includes participation in the museum’s museological and museographical study, as well as the recording and documentation of the collection within the framework of the preliminary museological study.
