Agathonisi: A Remote Island

The short documentary film captures the archaeological research conducted on the remote island of Agathonisi, highlighting its significance as a crossroads of civilizations in the northeastern Aegean. Through cinematic documentation of excavation processes, conservation workshops, and archaeological findings, the film portrays the work of scientists who bring to light traces of history and the island’s enduring human presence. Special focus is given to the port of Agios Georgios, the vibrant centre of the island, where daily life unfolds against a distinctive landscape.
