Ifigenia Dimitriou is a graduate of the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens NTUA and pursued postgraduate studies in Museology at the Barcelona Polytechnic University UPC. She later trained at the New York Film Academy and earned a scholarship to study Film Directing at Queen Margaret University - Metropolitan College, integrating her architectural background with her passion for cinema. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD at NTUA, focusing on Perceptions and Interpretations of Space in Jim Jarmusch's Cinematic Work. During 2023-2024, she contributed as a teaching assistant in Architectural Design courses at NTUA. Since 2007, she has collaborated with the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and other institutions, conducting museological projects. Her expertise in audiovisual storytelling has shaped documentaries as well as films for museums and exhibitions. As a filmmaker, she writes and directs fiction and experimental films, many of which have been recognized internationally.
